Water Cycle

Hydroelectricity, however, does not solely rely on the basics of Faraday’s Law. It also relies on the water cycle. Understanding this cycle is also important concept to understanding hydropower. When solar energy heats water on the Earth’s surface, it causes the water to evaporate. The water vapor condenses into clouds and then causes surface precipitation. Because of the amount of precipitation which flows or falls into the bodies of water, the amount of available energy can be determined.
