Generating power with the rain barrel generator in Southwestern PA seven
6 Volt batteries could be set up. If I were to continue this project, I would
like to store the rainfall season (spring to fall) into several batteries.
Hypothetically, if 100 homes in Southwestern Pennsylvania installed the
hydroelectric generating rain barrel, 700 batteries would be filled within a
year. These batteries could be deposited back into the power grid or even sent
to disaster areas around the world in need of electricity.
Though the United States is currently at its maximum of hydropower generation, using every available body of water that has potential energy and implementing the power generating rain barrels into even just a few homes can impact the world. And, if a power generating rain barrel cannot be implemented, then applying a rain barrel still has an enormous impact on our environment!
